Benefits of Membership

The association serves as a clearinghouse for providers of professional services, such as expert witness, forensic accountants, auction houses, document managers, appraisers, and property managers. Members are expected to actively participate in advancing the goals of the association by servicing on committees, contributing information to the brief band and website, and exchanging ideas with other members.

Access to Website

Once a prospective member is accepted, he/she will gain access to the "member's only" section of the website. This includes useful resources such as copies of published and unpublished court decisions relating to receiverships, a brief band, an index of case holdings, forms and checklists, and a forum for the exchange of ideas among members.

  • Full Membership is limited to those qualified individuals who have served as (1) federal equity receivers in matters of material size and complexity; (2) principal counsel to federal equity receivers who have served in matters of material size and complexity; and (3) principal forensic accountants to federal equity receivers who have served in matters of material size and complexity. 
  • Associate Membership is available to those individuals that do not meet the experience criteria of Full Membership as determined by the Membership Committee and/or the Board.  
  • International Associate Membership is available to those individuals who work primarily in foreign jurisdictions and do not meet the experience criteria for Full Membership as determined by the Membership Committee and/or the Board.
  • Industry Membership is available to those individuals/firms that are directly or indirectly involved in the administration of federal equity receiverships, as determined by the Membership Committee and/or the Board. 
  • Judiciary/Agency Membership is access to the privileges of membership, particularly to the collected research materials and forms, may be extended free of charge to members of the federal judiciary, employees of any government agency that nominate federal equity receivers and/or are materially involved in the nomination and/or administration of any receivership matter, or other similarly situated persons, at the discretion of the Executive Director.
