"Challenges in Administering a Large Receivership"
Think that all receiverships are the same? Come to the Rainier Club on January 17, 2019 at 5:30 pm for a presentation on the “Challenges in Administering a Large Receivership.” Part of the NAFER Regional Dinner Series and sponsored by BMS, the panel will discuss the Aequitas Management, LLC receivership, currently pending in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, Portland Division. Aequitas involves five named entity defendants as well as 43 subsidiaries and/or majority owned affiliates. The Receiver, Ronald Greenspan of FTI Consulting, his lead counsel, Troy D. Greenfield of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt and one of the SEC Enforcement Division Counsel working on the case will discuss the unique issues faced by a Receiver in administering a complex and multi-faceted receivership, including what challenges they faced on the first day and how they were able to take control of the receivership entities and their assets. The panel will be moderated by Ira Bodenstein, of Fox Rothschild and a former president of NAFER.
